About the Shadows 

The shadows are a group of mysterious cats. They take shelter in a cave known as the Moon cave,  where there first leader,  Moon was made the new leader.  Shortly after Moon died,  Morgan,  Moon's mate, appointed Dusk,  a tom who was responsible for this position. Morgan lived shortly after Dusk being appointed before she disappeared. Some may say she was abducted by the Clans and was held prisoner or some say she ran off. 

The shadows worship the Moon. They are very religious is every way and would kill their own to please the Moon. 

The Shadows have a very unique way of rankings.  The lowest are the ones that patrol their borders and make sure the group is safe. Above them are the hunters.  These cats a trained to hunt for the clan as well as fight.  The most important position, is the Scouts. The scouts a reliable trained to stealthily spy into class territory, without being caught.  There are only four scouts. Two for each clan.  The scouts spy on the clans and report back to their leader about they saw. 

Cats may wish to challenge each other for a higher rank. Illegal challenges are not permitted in the Shadows. And there will be consequences. How's the challenge works is simple. One cat from the patrol rank may challenge for the hunting rank.  They bring it up with the leader as well the second in command. Once the challenge has been given permission, challenger will call out the cats name they wish to challenge. 

If the challenger has won,  they will get promoted to the next rank whilst the cat they challenged is demoted.
